Sau-Sau the fab, doing his thang.
really quick thumbnail update. i have a few options here. either, sauron standing with his hordes of monsters, with all the orcs swarming around him, with vampire bats and dragons and wargs etc.
or option 2 - sauron as annatar with the elves screaming in pain around him, or the elves being corrupted partially into orcs. but yeah, lots of pain.
or finally option 3 - sauron in Numenor with the men he is slowly converting to melkors cult.
thoughts?
obviously inspired by the great phobs and gerwell :3

Morpheus - King of All Nights Dreaming
My cosplay is coming along nicely! the helmet only needs some extending at the front for the mouth section, sanding and then painting :)
the cape is coming along too as you can see. I’ve actually run out of paint, but the secondary one is what id like it to end up more or less, id also like to get some black paint, or at least a very thick permanent pen to make some of the black lines thicker :)
but yeah! the helmet is cool to wear too, its medium weight, but its easy to breathe in. possibly easier than my Amon mask. im just hoping it all works out in time :)
let me know if youre going to MCM later on this month! i want to take so many damned photos this time :D
a haiku about mcm expo
god fucking dammit
it’s only 3 weeks away
i should start sewing
im painting as we speak!

Annatar/Sauron. Because i too have an unyielding love of the Silmarillion. (blush)
basically ive been seeing a ridiculous amount of beautiful artwork coming from the legendary Gerwell and Phobs concerning the tales, and i just wanted to see what i could do. the line art looks nice, so i just slapped on some rough colours for now. My sauron is a bit of a combination of both of theirs, i loved the idea of him covered in jewellery as he does seem to have a bit of a thing for it, the armour is a retouched version of Saurons from the actual movie, but i plan on doing a bit more with it. its more about deciding what to do with him XD
so…yeah! behold the lord of the bling!
kiriban sketches, 2 of 4, ive still got another couple to do, but im working through them slowly.
the second set are ocs :) i was happier with the scyther one before i coloured it XD
Q:I've got a question for you about a certain Pokémon's anatomy: Hound our/doom and the plates along their back, legs, and neck. I was thinking they could be a callous or a hardened plate (like a rhinoceros' skin) that protects them from rival Houndoom/Pokémon bites or attacks. What would you do for them? I'm curious to know your opinion, since you're one of my inspirations when it comes to realistic Pokémon design. (:
hi there! well i used to quite like houndour, but less so when it came to houndoom. The callous points on the body would make logical sense, having developed them as a thick outer shell to protect newborn pups. the other option is that they’re part of the dogs skeleton that grows outside the skin, seeing at the points on the back resemble a ribcage, at least in part. Its also a bit odd because houndor seems to have a bony section on its head that could be a skull, but it loses it upon evolution in favour of rams horns. If i were to draw them realistically, i would probably keep that part in, along with the horns and make them more ram like.
And i think that’s, in general where I’d head, the sections are extra parts of the skeleton that form outside the body, attached to the inner ribcage (meaning no organs are vulnerable, we wouldn’t want that XD) And as they mature, the head crest develops into horns that are used for mating rituals, possibly even head butting or goring when agitated.
as a further note, being a fire type, i might suggest these ‘bones’ are also a way of the creature cooling itself when it becomes excessively warm, perhaps blood flows into them like a stegosaurus’ plates allowing for heat to escape?
in any case, thats where id personally go, but your idea about the tougher, armour like skin would work very well too, and serve the same functions :)
Someone asked me for a request on Deviantart.
and i have no problem with that. but it was the fact they suggested i would be a bit of a dick if i didn’t agree to it.
But…i need money. to…you know live :I so no, i don’t think I’ll be doing free work for you :I
Q:Can you please tell me/us what you use to draw?! Your art is fabulous! I got a tablet for my birthday and was wondering what brushes to get with it or anything else you recommend? :)
i use Photoshop cs3 and a wacom bamboo tablet :) im really glad you like my work!! :D and in terms of brushes, id say stick with the ones built in Photoshop for now and then branch out into other ones, its always good to learn the fundamental ones you can use before the special ones :) (at least, that’s how i think hahah!)
Q:Could you draw Voltorb and Electrode for me, please? I'm curious what they'd look like in your artstyle. BTW you're my favorite Pokemon Artist because I love how you interpret the Sprites, especially Onix. The way they're not rocks lined up by... magnetics or something, but actual rocks interlocking to form a snake! :)
sorry this took me so long to reply! firstly, thank you! secondly, when i get the time, i may well draw voltorb, though theyll be similar to my magnemite versions i think. i had the idea that they were man-made pokemon used in the war to be mistaken for pokeballs. being that pokeballs would have been an expensive and rare thing, youd have to assume that someone would pick it up, and when they do? bang! :)
